There is no doubt that conservatory living can be immensely pleasurable when conditions are right. However, all too often, it can become too hot in the summer sun – up to 140°F (50°C)! - or too cold in the winter or during the evenings. High temperatures also cause plants to wilt and die. It can also be unbearable when there is too much glare on bright days. The added issue is the sun's harmful UV rays which result in faded furniture and of course is not too good for humans either!
Insu has the low cost solution to all these problems whether you have a polycarbonate or glass conservatory roof. We can also transform your conservatory so that you can save money and energy by cutting down on heating within the conservatory by transforming it into a passive solar heat collector.

Conservatory blinds tend to be the first port of call for conservatory owners suffering from excess heat, glare and furniture fading but the truth is that internal blinds are simply not efficient and cost effective for this purpose.
Basically the heat has already entered the conservatory before coming in contact with the blinds so does not prevent excessive heat build up. While some blinds are better than others, they do not come close to the efficiency of Insu solar inserts or Insu solar laminates. Look at the benefits of the Insu conservatory roof solution over internal blinds:
Air conditioning units are not only very expensive and noisy but also cannot cope with the extreme heat build up that occurs in a conservatory. This means that they can have high running costs pushing up those all important fuel bills and CO2 emissions
Note: In commercial buildings, solar glazing is essential before air conditioning can function effectively. Otherwise the cost of purchase and running costs would be prohibitive.
