The conservatory roof is the part of your conservatory that requires the most attention – it's open to wind, rain, snow, and sun that can deteriorate the structure and glazed panels causing leaks, failed flashings, and valley gutters and making the conservatory look down at heal. It is the conservatory roof that holds the key to an attractive conservatory and a comfortable living environment. It really pays to get the right solution – Insu are specialists in conservatory roof repair and replacement and will advise on the best course of action.

Complete New Roof

It is rare that a conservatory requires a complete new roof structure inclusive of all components such as glazing bars and covers, support beams and ridges and glazing. Generally the conservatory can be refurbished/repaired and upgraded with Insu genuine replacement components.

Apart from making your conservatory look as good as new, and extended its life by up to 25 years, you'll be able to use the conservatory in comfort throughout the year with economic fuel bills in winter. Best of all the roof will never need maintenance or painting again, and be completely maintenance free. We can also fit our specially designed Roof-vents, these enable you to put ladders up through the conservatory roof for maintenance, or painting of the house gutters and soffits.

However, where the conservatory roof has become structurally unsound, it may be best to replace with a new modern roofing system. Our experience shows that this is most likely to be required for ageing wooden conservatories, but may also be relevant for early or DIY systems. Any new roof will be specified to compliment the look of your existing conservatory.

Replace and Upgrade with New Insu sealed units Roof panels

Very often the conservatory roof structure is sound but the double glazed units are showing signs of breaking down such as misting or whitening, or single glazed conservatories have poor winter insulation, or in summer they are too hot for comfortable use making them unusable for much of the year. In these circumstances there are two options:

1. fitting new high performance Insu sealed units to cut winter heat loss with the option of
2. incorporating of solar heat reflectors for comfortable summer use.

Insu double glazed sealed units are the most technically advanced available, they cut winter heat loss by up to 70% to give you economic winter fuel bills . They can also be supplied with transparent heat reflectors to cut summer heat gain and glare by up to 80% so that you can use your conservatory all year round in comfort. The final specifications of replacement Insu glazed units will depend on your personal needs, the aspect of the conservatory and the current materials. Different specifications can be used to tackle the following:

• Improved insulation – particularly important for conservatories that are north facing and get little sun. Fitting new Insu sealed units can reduce the 'U' value to an unrivalled 0.8 – as good as an insulated cavity wall! • Reduced Solar heat gain. In south facing conservatories excessive heat during the summer months can be a major cause of discomfort, and make the conservatory unusable. By employing Insu's patented solar heat reflectors solar heat can be reduced by 80% so that you can use your conservatory in comfort throughout the summer.
• Reduced glare. On bright sunny days excessive glare can be very uncomfortable. The solar reflective materials have a slight tint that, while transparent, reduces glare. Of course the sealed units are available untreated if preferred.
